Saya has impressed me once again. Her miso yogurt dip was absolutely divine. It only has three ingredients, yogurt, miso and sesame oil. The thing that I love about her food is that it is simple, delicious and extremely healthy. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix and serve with veggies.

Tzatziki is a delicious and healthy snack that you can eat in so many ways. Traditionally it’s served with Greek food but you can also use it as a dip for veggies. Personally, I like to add a dollop of tzatziki to my meals to add flavour.
Cooking time 10 minutes
Makes 2 cups (500 ml)
1/2 cup (125 ml) grated cucumber
2 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
1 1/2 cup (375 ml) plain yogurt
2 tsp (10 ml) olive oil
Combine the cucumber, salt and garlic in a bowl and let sit for a few minutes. Stir in the yogurt and olive oil.

The Indians know a thing or two when it comes to making condiments. Some of their condiments like raita are fat free and accent dishes unlike North American condiments that mask the flavor of food. Don’t get me wrong, this is not to say that I do not like a slab of vegan mayo on my sandwich or ketchup with my fries. I just wish that there were more healthy options out there.
Raita compliments many curries, especially masala based ones. Raita can be used to cool down spicy curries and tastes great on potatoes or by itself with some naan.
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) plain yogurt
1/2 cup (125 ml) grated carrots
1/2 tsp (3 ml) salt
1/2 tsp (3 ml) ground cumin
1. Grate the carrots.
2. Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and enjoy.
